`3.OA`

Operations and Algebraic Thinking

Learning objectives:

**Represent and solve problems involving multiplication and division****Understand properties of multiplication and the relationship between multiplication and division**

Students will interpret products of whole numbers and interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers.

Students will apply properties of operations as strategies to multiply and divide.

`3.NBT`

Number and Operations in Base Ten

Learning objectives:

**Use place value understanding and properties of operations to perform multi-digit arithmetic****Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction**

Students will use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.

Students will fluently add and subtract within 1000.

`3.MD`

Measurement and Data

Learning objectives:

**Solve problems involving measurement and estimation of intervals of time, liquid volumes, and masses of objects****Represent and interpret data**

Students will tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes.

Students will draw a scaled picture graph and a bar graph to represent a data set with several categories.

`3.G`

Geometry

Learning objectives:

**Reason with shapes and their attributes**

Students will understand that shapes in different categories may share attributes and that shared attributes can define a larger category.
